Course achievement New Zealand Diploma in Business (NZDipBus). The Diploma is awarded when 12 papers have been passed. These must include six compulsory core papers 400/500 level and six elective papers, four of which must be at the 600 level.

If you complete the required six papers of Crown’s NZ Dip.Bus, you can apply to be granted a NZ Institute of Management (NZIM) Diploma in Management (Level 5). There is a fee of approx NZD210 for this cross-credit. Please ask Crown for details.

Course times
Monday to Thursday: from 9.00 am – 1.00 pm OR from 1.30 pm – 5.30 pm. Friday: 10.30 am – 4.00 pm.
21 hours per week.

Domestic entry requirements

If you are less than 20 years old you must pass the Crown entry test or have the following credits and attend a personal interview. 

A minimum of 14 numeracy credits at level 1 or higher in Mathematics or Pangarau on the National Qualifications Framework; and fifty credits at level 2 or above with at least 12 credits in each of three subjects including a minimum of 8 literacy credits at level 2 or higher in English or Te Reo Maori; 4 credits must be in reading and 4 credits must be in writing.

If you are 20 years of age or over, you must pass the Crown entry test and attend a personal interview. 

International student entry requirements IELTS 6 with no band lower than 5.5, or TOEFL pBT 550 with an essay score of 5 TWE, or TOEFL iBT 79 with a writing score of 20.
Further study You may cross-credit your New Zealand Diploma in Business (NZ Dip.Bus) towards a business degree at a New Zealand university. You may be able to complete your degree in only two more years of study.
