FEE NOTES
1) FEES: All fees are in New Zealand dollars and include GST. Fees listed apply to New Zealand citizens and Permanent Residents only. Please ask for our international fee schedule.

2) TEXTBOOKS: The text books provided to you throughout the duration of your course are for reference use only. If you wish to purchase your own text books, please see the Crown team on level one.

Fees include the use of textbooks, resources and NZQA fees. Fees do not include the cost of exam or unit standard resits. Resit fees are from $10. If you are studying course CI 135 or CI 118, you may cross-credit your qualification to IATA/UFTAA for an additional fee of $295.

3) DKS KEY: When you enrol at Crown you receive a DKS programmable security key to allow you access to certain areas of the school. If you lose the key you must pay $115 for a replacement.

4) EDUCATIONAL TRIP: The following courses include an educational trip within NZ. Your course fees include accommodation and travel costs, but not meals, activities and daily living expenses during the trip. Please allow the following:

5) If you study hospitality you are required to purchase the following:
Female students: Black skirt/ black trousers, Black jacket, Black handbag, Black shoes – low to medium heel, Black stockings, White blouse
Male students: Black trousers, Black jacket, Tie, Black belt, White shirt, Black socks, Black shoes

STUDENT LOANS AND ALLOWANCESApplying for a student loan is easy
1) We will help you with your loan documents and answer your questions. Please bring the following with you when you enrol at Crown:

* passport or New Zealand birth certificate if you were born in New Zealand

* evidence of NZ citizenship or permanent residency if you were not born in New Zealand

* your IRD number – this can be your IRD card, tax assessment notice, tax pack

* your bank account number – this can be your bank statement, a print-out signed and stamped by the bank teller, or a deposit slip with your full account number printed on it, including the suffix

2) Please bring your original documents to Crown. We will verify them and help you send them off with your application. You will take all of your original documents with you.

3) The maximum amounts you can borrow per year:

$6,500.00 Compulsory course fees – These fees pay for your course and are paid directly to Crown. You pay this back to the government when you start working.

$1,000.00 Course related costs – You can apply for course related costs for stationery, resource expenses and your hospitality studies uniform which you are required to wear when you are on-site or doing your assessments. These are paid directly to your account. You pay this back to the government when you start working.

$160.00 Living costs – You can apply for living costs for day-to-day living expenses. (If you are getting a student allowance, conditions for your eligibility of Living Costs will apply). You pay this back to the government when you start working.

$50.00 Administration fee – Studylink charges you $50.00 to process your student loan and will add this to your account. You pay this back to the government when you start working.

Student Allowance – There are special requirements you must meet before you can apply for a student allowance. Please ask us for details. You do not pay back your allowance.
