28 April Intake – Special note about enrolments and use of Crown Chrome Books
We are accepting enrolments for all our travel & tourism, hospitality and business courses starting Tuesday 28 April. We are now interviewing via Zoom, Skype, Facetime or phone. Click HERE to complete a form.
We are now delivering course work online via Moodle and Zoom. Students are able to study from home and keep to their enroled course dates.
Chromebooks will be available for students who do not have a device for online learning. Note that the Chromebooks are for student use while studying at Crown and they must be returned at the end of their course.
New Zealand is currently in a lock-down for at least four weeks, during this time:
Kiwis should stay home unless visiting an essential service.
Keep calm, make sure you are accessing correct information.
Continue to follow good hygiene practices and physical distancing.
What will happen next?
For prospective students:
Crown will launch special scholarship for the 28 April intake to those that are affected by COVID-19, contact us for details.
Enrolments for 28 April intake will be accepted as usual, all interviews will be conducted online.
Online classes are currently taking place on a daily basis, it will still be available if the lock-down period is extended.
For current students:
Our campus will be closed from Tuesday, 24th March 2020 for the next four weeks or until further notice.
We are now fully prepared to deliver classes online through Distance/Online Learning Tools, such as Moodle, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp Skype, etc.
Please be aware that we will continue to deliver classes as scheduled until the end of Term 1, which ends on the 9th April 2020.
With this in mind, the remaining 3 weeks of the Term will be delivered online to ensure all students achieve their study outcomes in the time frame previously set up.
Please check your personal emails to find out your log-in details for Crown Office 365 account.
By using your new Crown email, you will be able to log into Microsoft Teams. We will be using Teams to communicate with you from now on and have group meetings and video calls. Each morning your tutor will touch base with all students as a class so we will need to have a group video call/meeting. This will be at 9:30am and attendance will be taken each day. If the lock-down period is extended, we will continue to deliver our courses through online platforms.
