New Zealand Certificate in Business (Introduction to Small Business) Level 3 (Currently Under Consideration For Approval By NZQA)

This program aims to provide knowledge and necessarily skills to enable students to identify relevant business opportunities, to assess options in small business, and to establish a business plan.
 

The programme covers the following areas in modules: 

  • Module 1: Business Opportunities in New Zealand 

  • Module 2 : Business Professionalism and requirements 

  • Module 3 : Communication and Problem Solving 

  • Module 4 : Business Planning

Course length 20 weeks (2 terms of 10 weeks plus 1 holiday break)
Course dates 11 Feb – 5 Jul 2019, 29 Apr – 20 Sep 2019, 15 Jul – 6 Dec 2019, 30 Sep 2019 – 17 Apr 2020 (Pending NZQA Approval)
Course times 20 hours per week from 9.00 am - 1.00 pm or from 1.30 pm - 5.30 pm
Domestic entry requirements You should be 16 years of age or over on the date you start your course. You must attend a personal interview.  Entry will be granted on a case-by case basis.  You may be asked to sit our entrance test depending on your prior academic skills.
International student entry
requirements
Intermediate, IELTS 5.0 with no band less than 5.0 (Academic) or TOEIC 550 or or NZCEL Level 3 (Academic or Applied).
Further study If you pass this course and you have the required English level, you may wish to work towards your New Zealand Certificate in Business (Small Business) Level 4.
